Attorney Darlene Herrera was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas State University with her bachelor’s degree in History. She went on to earn her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston.
During law school, Attorney Herrera represented clients in T-Visa, U-Visa, and asylum applications through the South Texas College of Law Asylum and Human Trafficking Clinic. Additionally, she represented clients in obtaining transfer deeds, small estate affidavits, and determinations of heirship through the Probate Clinic.
Attorney Herrera joined the Travis County District Clerk’s office in researching and auditing felony cases. In April 2021, Attorney Herrera joined the Manuel Diaz Law Firm as an Intake Attorney.
