Frances Seman

Frances Seman is a dedicated family law attorney committed to guiding clients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives with compassion, clarity, and strength. Since becoming licensed in Texas in 2022, Ms. Seman has focused her practice exclusively on family law, representing clients in a wide range of matters including divorce, child custody disputes, modifications, enforcements, child support orders, CPS defense, protective orders, adoptions, and premarital agreements. Ms. Seman began her legal career serving the community through Legal Aid, where she developed a strong foundation in client advocacy and gained extensive experience representing individuals and families in complex and high-conflict situations. She later brought that experience to the Manuel Diaz Law Firm, where she continues to provide strategic, results-driven representation while maintaining a client-centered approach. Before entering the legal profession, Ms. Seman spent ten years as a middle school teacher. That experience continues to shape her practice today—she is known for her ability to communicate clearly, educate her clients about the legal process, and advocate with both patience and precision. Her background in education, combined with her legal training, allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level and guide them with empathy and understanding. Ms. Seman is a veteran of the United States Army and remains committed to service both inside and outside the courtroom. She volunteers with the Denton County Medical Reserve Corps and serves on the Paralegal Program Advisory Committee at Collin College, helping to support and mentor the next generation of legal professionals. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Denton County Bar Association, Collin County Bar Association, Dallas LGBT Bar Association, and the Texas Bar College. Ms. Seman was named to the Lawdragon 500X List in 2025 and the Super Lawyers Rising Stars List in 2026. Ms. Seman earned her Juris Doctor from UNT Dallas College of Law. She also holds a Master of Arts in Theatre, a Master of Teaching from Texas Woman’s University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas. Known for her compassionate approach and unwavering advocacy, Ms. Seman is dedicated to helping her clients move forward with confidence and security.
