Messeret Fessehai

Attorney Messeret Fessehai received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pre-Law Studies from West Texas A&M University while working at the Potter County Clerk’s Office in Amarillo, Texas, as a deputy clerk. Subsequently, she earned her Juris Doctor degree from UNT Dallas College of Law. Prior to law school, Attorney Fessehai worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Carrollton Police Department in the Criminal Investigations Unit.

During her time in law school, Attorney Fessehai has examined the conditions of six prison facilities across the southern United States, participated in educational tours of several death row facilities, interned for the 282nd District Court and the Dallas County District Attorney’s office, externed for the Dallas County’s Public Defender’s Office, and engaged in public policy work as a fellow with the Urban Leaders Fellowship.

Attorney Fessehai was licensed to practice law in December 2020 and is currently practicing as a criminal defense attorney with the Manuel Diaz Law Firm.
