Tanisha Taylor

Tanisha Taylor is an experienced family law attorney serving clients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. With over five years of practice and hundreds of cases handled, she represents clients in divorce, child custody and support, modifications, enforcement actions, adoptions, and suits affecting the parent-child relationship. Tanisha is also a certified family law mediator, bringing a well-rounded approach to both negotiation and litigation. In addition to traditional family law matters, Tanisha has developed a focus on fertility and assisted reproduction law. She works with individuals and families navigating surrogacy, embryo donation, and parentage orders, guiding clients through complex legal processes with clarity, precision, and care. Tanisha is known for her practical, client-focused approach. She understands that family law matters are deeply personal and that no two cases are the same. She develops tailored legal strategies designed to protect her clients’ interests while promoting long-term stability for families and children. Whether resolving cases through negotiation or advocating in court, she provides both compassionate counsel and strong representation. Her perspective is shaped not only by her legal experience, but also by her personal life. As a wife and mother of four, Tanisha understands firsthand the complexities of parenting, co-parenting, and evolving family dynamics. This insight allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level and advocate for meaningful, real-world outcomes. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Tanisha was raised by a single mother who instilled in her the values of resilience and determination. After losing her mother to colon cancer at a young age, she remained committed to her lifelong goal of becoming an attorney. Her journey continues to influence her dedication to helping clients navigate challenging and emotional transitions. Before attending law school, Tanisha worked in childcare and education, partnering with families to develop individualized behavioral and educational plans for children. This background continues to inform her approach in cases involving children. Tanisha began her legal career as a solo practitioner in San Antonio, Texas, before relocating to the Dallas area, where she has built a strong and growing practice. She has successfully handled a wide range of cases across the DFW metroplex and continues to expand her services to better serve modern families. Outside of her practice, Tanisha enjoys spending time with her family, mentoring others, and staying current on developments in family and fertility law.
